Aerosmith Australian Tour Dates 2013

Aerosmith... One of America's greatest rock bands

US rock band Aerosmith are set to return to Oz for their first Australian performance in 24 years.

Lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer will make their way down under in late April for a three show tour.

The first stop will see Aerosmith headlining a festival lineup in Sydney that will feature support acts such as Wolfmother, Grinspoon, Spiderbait, The Dead Daisies, Kingswood and Diva Demolition.

The Dead Daisies “supergroup”, which features Jon Stevens, Charley Drayton, Richard Fortus, David Lowy and bassist, saxophone player Jim Hilbun will also join Aerosmith in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Frontman Tyler said his role as a judge on American Idol has been a major factor for the renewed popularity of his band.

“There were 40 million people watching Idol every night. People would come on and sing Aerosmith songs. It brings you back up again. It re-upped the Aerosmith catalogue by 300-per-cent. It did its job,” said Tyler.
